Karen Tucker of Brazen Bullies Launches Petition to Officially Recognize July 15th as National American Bully Day
March 12, 2025 – Newport, WA – Karen Tucker, owner of Brazen Bullies, has launched a petition to officially recognize July 15th as National American Bully Day. The initiative, now live on Change.org, aims to celebrate the American Bully breed, educate the public about its positive qualities, and combat misconceptions that continue to impact responsible owners and breeders.
The American Bully is a loyal, affectionate, and intelligent breed, known for its strong bond with families and friendly nature. However, due to misinformation and outdated stereotypes, the breed often faces unwarranted stigma and breed-specific restrictions. By establishing National American Bully Day, Tucker hopes to highlight the breed’s true temperament, promote responsible ownership, and unite the Bully community in a positive way.
"National American Bully Day" – A Celebration & Advocacy Movement
🐾 Educating the public about the breed’s temperament, history, and characteristics.
🐾 Encouraging responsible ownership through awareness campaigns and training advocacy.
🐾 Supporting breed-positive legislation and pushing back against unfair breed restrictions.
🐾 Bringing together the American Bully community for an annual day of appreciation, events, and awareness.
“This is more than just a day of celebration—it’s an opportunity to change the narrative around the American Bully and ensure these amazing dogs are recognized for the loving, well-mannered companions they truly are,” said Karen Tucker, founder of Brazen Bullies. “We’re calling on all Bully owners, breeders, trainers, and dog lovers to join us in this movement to give the American Bully the recognition it deserves.”
